Understandable that being foreign importers, many times, it is difficult to access fundamental knowledge in particular areas which you may need for doing business successfully in Thailand. The classification of goods under a harmonized code system is considered as another complicated area to comprehend. The inaccurate interpretation of HS codes and the absence of knowledge of related laws and regulations likely leads to excessive costs and time for you to import something into the country, and for small sized businesses, the additional costs may adversely affect the firms’ liquidity.
This course is designed to lay essential knowledge on the classification of goods under the Harmonized Commodity Description and Coding Systems (HS), learners will be introduced to the general rules for the interpretation of HS. Additionally, explicit examples of classifications and implementation under specific laws and regulations are available for learners. The course contents also include the available mechanisms to which you are able to resort when a dispute arises, or when it is difficult to deal with the classification of goods by yourself. Lastly, we are expecting that the knowledge from this course would help you to mitigate risks which you may encounter in customs compliance.
